Ferrari GTC4 Lusso – Alpha (1/24)

Primero de todo, Feliz Año a todos!!

First of all, Happy New Year to all!

I can say that this project is now finished. I added the windscreen wipers, exterior mirrors, Ferrari emblems and the headlight lenses which I glued with MIG Ultra Glue.

And here is my assessment of both the kit and my work: the kit has very good lines, and is made with a very smooth and well finished resin with hardly any bubbles. Both the pieces and the photoetched parts fit perfectly, although I have to comment on a few points. The first is that the crystals that come very well created, with two plastics on both sides to protect them, fit perfectly on the body, but with the layers of primer, paint and lacquer, you have to adjust them because if not, the side crystals do not fit in their hole. Another point is that the front wheel mountings are a bit big and make the front wheels stick out of the bodywork. To fix it, you have to cut them a bit, on the inside, instead of the outside, which is what I modified. And the photo-etched parts, there are a lot of them and you have to work them carefully because some of them are very small and fragile. It’s a pity that the interior can’t be seen because with so much detail, it’s very eye-catching (maybe that’s why I bought the 488 Spider so you can see it well!!). And the result is there, a beautiful car and a design that catches the eye, with good lines that you can get a lot out of it, but you have to be very clean with the work. Without further ado, the final photos! I hope you like it!

And to finish, now in the ballot box, anchored with a screw!

Gracias por ver y comentar!!

Very nice work, very clean result indeed!
The kit has the same issues as mainly every AM kit (at least every Ferrari). The ride height is much too low, especially the front. I don't know why they can't fix this problem.
Installing the flat windows is always a pain, you seem to have managed it pretty well. Same for the air inlets / outlets - painting them black inside and adding the P/E mesh.
Congrats!

I also have another AM Ferrari (488 Spider) and I'll check in detail what you are seeing about the front. And I can't wait to start it but I have others on prioirity!! ;-)
