Cheers and hopefully a race version will follow but im sure there will be decal and or transkits for it.

Also looking at another pic really hope this is just a prototype test. The details are really soft nothing like there bikes of the past (just look at the rear sprocket)

Re: NEW Tamiya 1/12 Ducati!!!!!

Looks very nice. I hope this means Tamiya is waking up at last and maybe they can resurrect the 1/24th cars too. I would love to see some rally cars from them again. Can't remember what the last new one was, maybe the Peugeot 307 WRC..??

I totally agree with you but definitively have no hope for that, especially since Belkits, Heller and Simil'r have filled the gap in the last 3-4 years.

A very lucrative business for them would be to investigate the group B era. To be honest, I think my hopes are even smaller while considering that option...

I would agree 100%, but not holding my breath for that Imagine a Lancia Delta S4, Ford RS200, Audi Sport Quattro or Metro 6R4 in plastic from Tamiya. Now that really would be something. I'm sure they would sell by the lorry load

Hasegawa have produced a nice range of the old school rally cars like the Stratos/ O37 and Datsun Fairlady to name a few.

They haven't added to that range in recent years so one can only assume sales haven't meet their expectations.

Re: NEW Tamiya 1/12 Ducati!!!!!

is there a way to replicate brushed aluminum on a 1/12 scale?
I'd like to make the prototype race version that has all carbon fiber body with aluminum tank.

They have re-released those 3 models in the past few years so one can only assume sales have met their expectations

And BTW, I wouldn't compare a rally Fairlady to a Delta S4 or an S1 Audi Quattro in terms of popularity

I guess all the royalties bulls**t leads their minds...
