Re: V-35 GTR drivetrain
i still doubt that nissan will put that much out, maybe if they made a special version, spec nur, or something, or leave it to nismo to bring up the power, 450-475hp seems like a good number to compete against the cars that it will. relize that at 70g, the 911, viper and vette are going to be the main compitition. the vette zo6 is 80g, the 911(turbo) is 130g and the viper is 90g. the closest in performance is the turbo 911, with 478hp and awd. the body on the porsche is also much smoother, unless they do round of the front end and ass end on the gtr.
if they round it off, there's no way it will sell, ppl will just say its a g35 on steroids. if they based it of a 4dr g35, then it might retain it's boxy-ness as the previous gens did. |

Re: V-35 GTR drivetrain
and i've got a question y do some ppl consider the gtr's awd, wen in reality its closer to 4x4. yes there is a difference to anyone who doesnt know. awd is wat my stealth has, wat a subaru has, all tires putting power to the ground at the same time. 4x4's drive with the rear wheels(in most cases, ford is changing that) but when u, press a button or pull a stick on the colomn or floor it switches to four wheel drive.
now being that the gtr's drive with rwd(like 4x4's) untill there's a slip in the rear and sends wat? 50% torque to the front. so that sounds more like a 4x4 then awd. |

Re: V-35 GTR drivetrain
AHhhhhhh Guys you need to think b4 you speak... I only post once in a while. You need to honestly think about what you are saying. Well first off you need to read a littlt post I made way back in 05.
http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...=133585&page=3 I just hope that Nissan Folows through with everything else that they have had up their sleve for over ten years. The sequential gearbox isn't actually sequential if they are using the one I think they are... It would be a CVT that acts like a sequential. The "Tuner" version of it should blow your minds. If anyone actually knows of the excentroid CVT then feel free to chime in. I have been saving up for this car for over five years and I have my deposit in. I can't wait to start stripping off the crap that the artists put in to make it look nice and see what the engineers at Nissan have been working on for nearly a decade. It's about time that they released the dream of MR SKYLINE!!!! |
