A good transparent yellow for large areas?

Hi,

I have Tamiya's transparent yellow acrylic paint for painting turn signal blinkers and such. I have sprayed several times on a larger scale, but the result wasn't as good as I expected. Maybe my technique needs to be improved, but the paint would sit on edges and you get a different shades.

Probably I will go with lacquer based. Can you recommend something based on your experience?

I am interested in painting the head light covers and side/back windows.

The best is Alclad lacquer transparent yellow. I used their smoke finish to tint the screen on my Tamiya Suzuki Hayabusa and it gave an excellent finish with no darker areas or anything. Dries in minutes as well.

not sure if they are available in your area but I've had good luck with Gunze's mr hobby clear yellow laquer spray can.

Yes alclad is the best for this job and one good thing with this product is: if it's a bit to dark for you you can use the transparant medium. adding a bit of this will gave you more transparancy. in fact you will be able to do a grade shade.
