What is it you don't like about the front spoiler?

Re: Ford Escort RS1800

in the model there is too much lip in the lower part of the front spoiler and no round in the upper.

the real one is near to be vertical in the lower part, without all that lip!

the line of Junction beetween the spoiler and the body is not there and should be nearly impossible to see in a model.

just under the upper junctione there is a round line before the real spoiler.

in the model it si simply vertical

Re: Ford Escort RS1800

There are many different versions of the front air dam/spoiler from fully blended into the front fenders to more tacked on look. I'm happy with the look of mine.

And I appreciate your opinions gentlemen. I agree there are some versions of the front spoiler/airdam that is flat and vertical. Other version have a more scalloped profile. I am building a '79 car and I believe the dam was more curved by this time.

Regarding the seam; in the photos it had just been re-scribed. It will fill with paint during the final coats which will make it appear more subtle.

I really do appreciate your opinions and your enthusiasm for the build. I am currently building up the final interior and then its on the final paint.

thanks
JC

Re: Ford Escort RS1800

Okay so I decided I would reshape to front spoiler a bit. It's subtle but here are the changes.

Re: Ford Escort RS1800

Completed interior. Sorry about the pictures. It is difficult to get all the details to show in photographs of an all black interior.

This is what the revised spoiler looks like after priming.

The paint hasn't been polished yet but here is a mockup showing the final colors.
