That IS the tranny slipping.
First step is to check your fluid level (make sure you have enough but not to much). You want to check the level with the vehicle running and in Park or Neutral. Second step (if proper fluid level doesn't help) is to have a 'transmission service' performed. (change trans. fluid, change filter, replace pan gasket, maybe add a trans. conditioner). If this doesn't help...time for a transmission rebuild. (most likely). If this doesn't help, you will want to take it to a transmission SPECIALIST. How long has it been like this? It is VERY important that you do this ASAP...the longer you let it go, the more of a chance you are taking with your transmission.

I agree although i would try taking it to a specialist first and have them put it on a diagnostics computer, cause my tranny was dying i went to 6 mechanics and they said it was slipping but couldnt tell me exact problem so i just put it on a computer diagnostics, to get the full problem like ecu, or engine, or internal tranny problem.

actualy check the fluid first then specialist sorry. In my opinion i wouldnt change anything having to do with it just yet cause it might not be the problem i would just pay the 0-50 bucks for a computer diagnostics

well thanks for the replies guys, the thing is it does this sporadically not all the time like if im driving in 2nd at about 2500rpm it shifts to 3rd no problem, but if im driving in 2nd at 2800rpm then it holds at 3500rpm then shifts, the fluid is fine, i cant even remeber if i did have the filter and gasket replaced i gotta check my records.
Could the cold weather in my area have anything to do with it.
