Yeah, that body kit flatters it but they look ok.
For anyone interested (C33) laurels are based on the R32 skyline platform but have struts up front and are not as sporty. I have seen a few turned into drift cars which is easy to do if you get a RB20DET version, some people even put SR20's into them. I have heard of but never seen 4wd versions but most are rwd which is fine with me |

Yeah, NZ's a good place to be if you're into the modified import scene, reasonably loose laws for modifications and plenty of variety at a good price. Every place has its good points.

Re: Laurel Pics....
Hi, I have a 96 laurel and the cam belt came loose the tensioner was gone and the engine came to a halt. The cam was changed and so was the tensioner. Now the engine has lost power and seems to be missing. Any ideas.

Re: Laurel Pics....
This is my son's newest acquisition. It is a really nice Laurel.
My question is... Why have so many Laurels here been engine swapped to SR20DETs? His still has an RB20DET, (with several mods) but we are seeing lots of Laurels with swaps lately. This is the look he is going for (only in black):

That looks like a nice car but it is a C34 right? If he can get it looking like the yellow C33 I'd like to see it. Are you sure it has an RB20, I though the C34's mostly had RB25's?
Fitting an SR20 to one of these can help the weight distribution and make it handle better and its a good motor. The straight sixes still go well though and they sound much nicer. |
