Is this possible?

Okay, here's my situation.

2 Kicker's. One of them is a SVC at 4 ohms. The other is a DVC at 4 ohms.

I have a 2 channel amp and I want to bridge these two subs. My amp CAN handle the impedence. My question is this. How do I go about wiring these subs so I can do this?

Re: Is this possible?

What amp do you have. I am thinking that the impedence would be at 3 ohms. But don't quote me on that.

It's a 1200 watt 2 channel Power Acoustik Gothic Series. 2 ohm stable.

Re: Is this possible?

You can wire them at 2 ohms go to http://www.crutchfieldadvisor.com/le...ng.html?subs=2 and look at 2 subs / Single Voice Coil - 4 ohms Option #1 this will put you at 2 ohms. Also you would be using the DVC sub as a single voice coil to do this.

Re: Is this possible?

Someones gonna blow there shit up doing that. I cant remember the exact equation for sub wiring but. And its not as simple as wiring everything as single subs, then you have 3 seperate 4 ohm vc, in parallel your going to have an ohm rating of 1.3ohms, in series it will 12ohms. 1 ohm will be to low and 12ohms will give shitty power.

Don't ever look at cars as just imports or domestics. Just because a car is made in a certain country doesn't mean that it is anything like another car from that country. An example of this is Mitsubishi reliability, just because they are Japanese doesn't mean that they are as reliable as a Honda or Toyota.
