Water overheating
Hi, hot summer never helps but my 02 4.2 tb started bubbling into the cooling system. So I have a few questions:
- water pump doesn't leak but how long does it last? - what shall I check? Radiator for fouling? Thermostatic valve? - fan clutch is two years old.. seems fine to me No oil in the water, no water in the oil so I wouldn't consider head gasket for now.. I hope. Thank you! |

Re: Water overheating
I'd check the actual temperature of the coolant.
Hang a thermometer in the radiator neck, or use a scan tool to read the coolant temp sensor. Does the rad cap hold pressure?
