Water overheating

Hi, hot summer never helps but my 02 4.2 tb started bubbling into the cooling system. So I have a few questions:
- water pump doesn't leak but how long does it last?
- what shall I check? Radiator for fouling? Thermostatic valve?
- fan clutch is two years old.. seems fine to me
No oil in the water, no water in the oil so I wouldn't consider head gasket for now.. I hope.
Thank you!

Re: Water overheating

I'd check the actual temperature of the coolant.

Hang a thermometer in the radiator neck, or use a scan tool to read the coolant temp sensor.

Does the rad cap hold pressure?

Ten trillion to start with, increasing as needed from there, PLUS compensation for the sickened, and "wrongful death" settlements for the families of those who didn't survive. END trade with Communist China.
