Concidering Quattroporte - need advice
I am concidering buying a new Quattroporte later this year. I need an opinion on this car.
I understand Ferrari took over Maserati from Chrysler a couple years ago, and am curious how this change has affected their cars. Several points I'm interested in are of course reliability, and service. Are there any dealers in the Northern NJ area? Who manufactures the engines, transmissions, audio system, ect. Also, are their any quirks that I should be aware of. Any help would be appreciated! |

Ferrari bought Maserati in 1997, but Maserati now works with Alfa Romeo.
Fiat SpA owns everything (Lancia, Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Maserati, and Ferrari). I think Ferrari builds the engines for the Quattroporte, Coupe, and Spyder. The clunky transmission seems to be the main problem, but I've heard the ones made today have been fixed. Don't order a Quattroporte with a brown exterior color. I saw one a month ago and it didn't look good with that nasty color. A dark red or blue would look great. |
