IGO! Nice to hear from you man! Sounds like you've had your hands full.

I though you could only have 3 dogs legally?

It's been on a downward spiral for XX months. But, It doesn't have much further down to go. GM could go bankrupt...in which case i lose my couple hundred bucks...but i dont think that very likely. I plan to hold onto it for a while. Even if it takes 10 years, if it gets back up to where it was, i'll be in good shape.
I have been keeping track of the company somewhat...gov't loans, new vehicles,, parterships, etc. I huge company like GM has a lot of baggage it can lose to keep afloat through rough times. They are selling the Saab and Hummer brands, and getting rid of Saturn and possibly Pontiac. They have the Volt (Ampera in europe) set to come out, as well as a few small and city cars. They also have the new Camaro, which had orders piling up, and the CTS, not to mention the Vette(s).
The Volt i think will be their real turnaround car though. The market is hungry for a real, no quirks electric car thats practical and works, and is not priced out of reach.

Do you WANT to lose your money?
Thats not how Warren Buffet got rich.

But you are right, when and IF GM turns around, if you buy stock now, you would be doing great.
However, I wouldn't count on the Volt since the Asian market is years ahead of us in fuel cell technology.

I see your point but buying this low may not be a bad idea. Honestly, as stupid as they have been, I see GM pulling through this. If that is the case their stock will raise significantly if you let it fester in the market long enough. You want me to ask Warren Buffet what he thinks? He lives about 2.5 miles from me. SRSLY Berkshire Hathaway shareholders' meeting in Omaha FTMFW! Free drinks!

The stars start to "light up" as you use the board more.

I'm curious what tells you they will pull through this.

If I would consider buying GM at the price it is, once it started going up much past $15.00 a share, I would probably pull out and take my profits,
the way the Left is hammering the auto industry it would probably go back down again soon.

Who knows? I've never been one to care too much about the laws until someone with a badge is informing me how many I have just broken.

Your 1996 Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 is the 92nd out of the 315 that were made that year. Only 21 of which are exactly identical.

And Obama said there would be no earmarks!

Just like with everyone, actions speak louder than words.
Look at what the company is doing, not what they are saying.

I actually called GMs corporate office and asked them to NOT take the stimulus money.
Maybe they are listening to me now.

Re: 3000gt's/Stealth very own off topic thread: Part Quatre

gm itself is turning around, the cars have gotten much better over the past few years, and they do in fact have one of the best warranties in the buis with 5yr/100k, toyota only does 3yrs/36k. the biggest issue other than the unions is the fact the gm, ford, and Chrysler have lost the next generation of buyers to imports, who are then going to tell their kids that american auto's suck, so as the process goes along they have lost a big demographic.

yeah the warranties are cool. Ford can't say anything cuz 65% of their parts are manufactured in Korea. Another group thats coming around is hyundai. i don't remember what the car they have out now but its hot and gets like 30mpg its got 303hp turbo stock. Thats pretty good for a company that started out with bullshi# for cars
