Re: Ralliart spec 3000gt vs Nissan Skyline GTS
Hah, no, I know the MR was just the VR-4 with a little less fat. I had heard a rumor that the execs at Mitsubishi had toyed with the idea of producing a mid-engined GTO, but scrapped the idea and stuck with front-engined. It almost seems plausible, with the bucket seats and trunk being replaced by an engine. In any event, I'd like to see someone try to do that. Lots of custom work, but it would probably make our cars faster.

Re: Ralliart spec 3000gt vs Nissan Skyline GTS
I always thought that MR stood for Mitsubishi Racing like in the MR spec Evo's..

Re: Ralliart spec 3000gt vs Nissan Skyline GTS
It does i was asking if that is what morph. was talking bout. As for a MR setup lots of custom work but hey with the right amount of $$ anything is possible.

Re: Ralliart spec 3000gt vs Nissan Skyline GTS
MR = Mitsubishi racing.
People became confused by some web sites/posts that assumed MR ment Mid engine Rear Drive because they played too much Gran Turismo. If someone was to put our engine in the rear of the car it would be "RR" setup and not a "MR" setup.

Lol...got to love the Grand Tourismo guys eh, I remember Walking up to this guy who had a Mitsi GTO I asked what he was runin he said nos but mostly talked about his body kit.
I said have you dyno'd it yet he said no, but it would be making at least 1200hp. I said no such thing. He said yes there is why would there be 3kgt's like that on GT PS2...... I laughed Found out latter that he was making 395ATW punk......... This guy must have been stupid, he was about 20 or so.....lol.. |

Think Lambo, Ferrari, GT40.....etc. Aww crap even before Im done posting I realize you are right. Because the axles on our cars go just behind the engine. But if the engine was on top of the rear axel it would be a RR car instead of a MR car.

Re: Ralliart spec 3000gt vs Nissan Skyline GTS
Will vid it sometime, I'm away on Business at the moment and my car is going up to Ralliart to get tuned.....
Car looks awsome, scary how new it looks for its age and the ks arn't too bad either it has 94,000km and its a 91 so I'm pretty happy..... Yea I'm a major 3kgt fan, since I first saw them when I was 16 I fell in love then there was performance so when I turned 17 I bought my First VR-4 it was the same colour as this one but it was a 1993. Funny enough I couldn't drive at all, had never driven in my life in fact so I've had quite a few close calls......... lol never crashed it though cause it was my baby...... |

Re: Ralliart spec 3000gt vs Nissan Skyline GTS
Given the fact that the car has had $120,000.00 USD spent to make it ralliart they made the intercoolers so sad to say they are one of a kind.
Other parts were sent here and there USA Engineering division to name one..... Reguarding the kit in the glove compartment thats pretty old school and has been in there since 1995 and I think thats also custom...... |
