Re: 3000GT's very own Off-Topic Thread! Part DEUX
I just saved a bunch of money on my car insurance....
and gieko didn't have a damn thing to do with it I was getting quotes from a bunch of places, and found that if I switched my address from NY to PA (I moved, but kept my NY address) and switched from Progressive to Travelers, I got quoted a $700 savings per year. Now all I gotta do is switch over my license, plates, registration, etc, and I'm good. So I'm in a pretty damn good mood!

How old are you all, I dont get it, I was out of my parents house before I could own a car, paid gas money to friends to get to work... 10 years later I own 2 cars, 1.5 acres in the country and have a mortgage on a house in the city. Hell I worked as a dish washer, bucked hay, cut logs, sold firewood. cut blocks, anything to make a buck and say i made it on my own. Work hard, try harder, and dont give up thats all you need.

Good for you mr. infomercial but some of these guys actually love thier parents enough to stick around untill they at least finish college.
I lived with the folks till I was 21, got a place of my own, finished college , own 3 cars and got married. Folks got sick, mom couldnt work no more, dad could barely pay the bills so i rented out my place and moved back in wife and all to help my folks stay afloat.

I don't know. I think one of the cool things in life is where you came from. It's great to see people who are dedicated to family, but I think it's impressive to see people that tough it out on their own and end up pulling through. Just remember that not everyone gets a great home life, and those that do, enjoy it as much as possible.
By the way, I'm 17.

Re: 3000GT's very own Off-Topic Thread! Part DEUX
I've herd a good amount of ppl switching there place of resdence to get cheaper insurance. One guy i know has a po box in a little town like 5 seconds and you literally trhough the town. Ne way guess what guys things got worse. My g/f decided she wanted a break some time to be with her friends to move in back with her mom etc.. She says she still loves me and still wants to grow old. Idk what to do i want to cry my eyes out and sucled myself like last time but i remeber she still wants to grow old so should i just tough it out for right now and try to keep my mind off it. We both said we loved each other cried, kissed and she is even going to stay the night tonite so i'm torn apart don't know what to do. I told her i would wait the three years even if my medical records passed meps because she said she didn't wnat me to move away because she still wanted to see me and go on dates and stuff. Idk what to do guess its my fault for smuthering her.

17 is a wee bit young to be moving in together. You've got you're entire life to look forward to, and college too(assuming you're going). A point of advice - just have fun. Do something to take your mind off it. Go bowling, racing, whatever. Just get out and enjoy life.

Re: 3000GT's very own Off-Topic Thread! Part DEUX
17??? My opinion, you need to let her go and do her own thing. She is WAY too young to be tied down. If she never went out and experienced life on her own and only experienced you then your relationship would never last. She would either cheat or just do something that would destroy the relationship and years would be down the drain. You definitely need to go out and do something with some buddies or something to get your mind off it.
