what's wrong with my PT?!
I have an 03' Ltd Ed. PT Cruiser about 72k miles, with years of problem free existance. Suddenly, I have a problem and can't figure it out. Two things happen:
1. When braking, like clockwork, everytime the car brakes and the speedometer drops down around 22-23mph the car jumps. It's not a violent jump, and the car does continue to brake ok and stop, but it never did this before. 2. This one's happened about 5-6 times now in the last month or so - after the cars been parked for a while, if I get in and put it in reverse, it doesn't move! I have to put the car in drive, inch forward a little bit, then I can put it in reverse and it works ok. Any ideas folks? I took it to a mechanic, and he suggested changing the transmission fluid, which we did, but still the same issues! any advice greatly appreciated! -Matt |

Re: what's wrong with my PT?!
if your still having problems check your wire connectors to the transmission and the ground. the tranny is electronic shifting and if that doen't cure it you may need a new pcm. check for engine codes. toivo
