coolant l.e.d light on
Can anyone help me with this problem, I got a seat leon 04 plate 1.6 16v.
The problem is that in the cold mornings you turn the key over and starts engine, the coolant red l.e.d comes on and flashes but when you turn the engine off and back on the l.e.d light goes out. I have changed the coolant sensor for the gauge and still there. It looks like it only happeneds in the cold mornings and is fine the rest of the day. Any advise would be great because it is making me mad lol cheers mark |

Re: coolant l.e.d light on
Did you change the right sensor?
One is for Temp, the other for shortage. |

Re: coolant l.e.d light on
The one you replaced was for the coolant Temp, the one on the coolant reservoir tank
is for the coolant level. Try cleaning, a little dielectric grease, and reseat the connector going to the sensor on your coolant bottle 1st. If you still got the problem, replace the sensor on coolant bottle. |

Re: coolant l.e.d light on
DTC P0115 - Is the engine coolant temp sensor circuit
Red Led - Coolant low Visual inpect the signal wire going to the original sensor you replaced. Disconnect and look for a bent terminal conn. Do you still have the original temp sending unit for your temp guage? Is the Red Led ''coolant low'' on? |

Re: coolant l.e.d light on
the red l.e.d is on first thing in the morning but no codes. if i switch the engine off and back on again the l.e.d gos out. so i think it maybe the sensor on top the bottle. cost is £12.95 so got one on order and will try it first.
thanks for help |
