ignorant newb incoming!

well im looking at buying a 2000 or so GT1 Grand Am. i have found a black one with 133k miles. it looks to be cosmetically in decent shape, and mechanically sounds good to me, had Advance run the diagnostic and no trouble codes are stored. the askin price is $5k. good deal?
if its even worth my time, im jsut wondering how easy it is to do jsut those subtle performance upgrades, nothing major maybe like 10-15% increase in HP overall. thanks guys!

Re: ignorant newb incoming!

to find out whats worth what check kelly blue book and you can input your zip and all the other details to get a price.

IMO with those miles, $5k is to much, but thats how I roll.

Thier are tons of things to do for performance upgrades but they are not cheap.
Check out the Oem and Performance part thread in the Grand am forums!!

The cheapest mods would be a cold air intake, and an exhaust upgrade. Then go for the DHP PCM, this will allow your mods to get the most gains/performance/economy.
