Aftermarket Exhaust

Alright so Im finally gonna get the new exhaust, just not sure which one will yeild the best performance and sound cat back etc. Any ideas would be great, thinking flowmasters but maybe not. Also should I get high flow catlytic converters, whats the gain with those?

Lastly what will this run me installed at say midas or penske etc. Thanks!

Re: Aftermarket Exhaust

A custom exhasut is about all thier is for the Alero's.
I heard the Borla system could fit with modifications, real expensive tho around $700 !

A custom one should be around $300-350 depending on what you get.

2.5 " pipe is a good size for street use.
I wouldnt get a high flow cat unless you are installing headers too.

My GA's and a few of the Aleros I hav done exhaust on, we used the flowmaster 80 series muffler(#42583) which it has 1-2.5" inlet and dual 2.5 outlets

Sounds badass!

Re: Aftermarket Exhaust

I have the SLP catback for my 01 GA. Turns heads every day! Real low rumble at idle and throaty when you get on it, not ricey at all. they quit making them, tho, might be a job to find a kit. Also don't know if they will fit the Alero...
