Buying a Bongo, and would like all of your advice/tips please?
Lo guy's and gals,
My Dad is about to buy a bongo camper, he is thinking better of buying one without the kitchen and fridge fitting, and buying the bongo with the camper top and fitting the kitchen and fridge himself as he has been told where to get the bits from through a mazda dealer, he is quite capable i can tell you, any comments on this? anyone had any experience of this? He wants black (N Reg, 4x4 etc, diesel), and has been looking at models in Cinderford, Bristol and Wokingham. Any info and what to look out for, bits that fail easily, if the top leaks, or anything else he might be need to check for, and perhaps and recommended places to buy or not to buy from would be a much appreciated help. Kind Regards -=Kev=- |

I have also just noticed Ford Freda campervans are similar, is there any difference in them, is it better to buy into one than the other?
And also spotted a V6 for sale aswell, are the diesels or pertols better? the Hiace 3.0TD also looks quite nice? |

Hi Kev
How is it all gong, hows your dad. In reply to your question (yes I know it is a bit late!) Ford Fredas are exactly the same vehicle, the only thing different is the badge. So they are all just as good to buy. I personally think that diesel is the best but there is not that much difference economy wise. The hiace's are quite nice I have to agree! |
