2007 Accord fan inside the car for A/C -heater wont work when control knob is turned on

Honda Accord Special Edition - 72,000 mi.,4 cyl. auto - When I turn the control knob on to use fan or is it called the blower for A/C or heater nothing comes on. When I turn the control knob on with the cold motor not running and A/C button engaged (green light on) I hear the two fans under the hood come on for about 10 seconds and then shut off. Not sure if that is normal or it indicates something.
I checked some of the fuses under the hood and under the dash. Could not find any that were bad. Any thoughts?

Yes the fans should come on under the hood when you turn the a/c on. Sounds like you have a bad blower motor. You need to see if you are getting voltage to the fan with it on. Also you could try tapping it to see if it will turn on.

Re: 2007 Accord fan inside the car for A/C -heater wont work when control knob is turned on

After searching the internet and watching some you tube videos I came to the conclusion that the A/C transistor/resistor was bad. I rolled the dice and just purchased a new one at the dealer for $108.00 including tax.It works fine again.
In some of the you tube videos they showed how to fix it yourself if you have the time. It is much cheaper to fix it yourself but I just didnt have a soldering gun or as I said no time. Thank You for your input.

I actually maintain 5 Hondas for me and my 3 daughters so I have notebooks with all the receipts and maintenance information written down so I can keep track of each car. I just change the cabin filters when they recommend it.I figure if I am doing the work then there is no labor cost to contend with so I dont cut corners when it comes to proper maintenance. Thanks again!

Good fleet to have, Congrats !!

On the 01-05 Civics a plugged cabin filter could cause the safety thermal fuse on fan control to open
