2001 Ram 4x4, while reversing noise

I have a 2001 Dodge Ram 4x4 Xtended cab,I have had it since new and last year noticed most times in the morning in the winter I would start the truck up and back it out of my driveway and hear like a grinding noise for a few seconds and then when I put it in drive it would go away, anyway I took it to the dealer then and they said this is normal for that truck, that when its cold it needs to warm up, but now also noticing this summer it is doing it also....does anyone know if this is normal for the 2001 dodge Ram...I still have a extended warrenty and want to correct it before it runds out if something is not right...help anyone ? thanks in advance

Not sure if that is normal, when mine was doing it a year or so ago, I took it to the dealer and had them service the trans, adjusting the forward and rear belts, and increase the pressure. Also I had them put in Amsoil ATF since then I haven't had a problem.
