1993 silhouette starter removal

I searched around and haven't been able to find a thread that explains any tricks to getting the starter off of my '93 silhouette with 3.8. I've looked for it and it seems to be covered by a plethora of obstacles. The auto part stores around here don't stock my van's repair manual, so I'm pretty much winging it.

I'm fairly well versed in auto repair, and I've done a million starters, so I'm just looking for pointers. Is it easier to get at it from above with air cleaner and cooling fan removed? I haven't even gotten 'er up on jack stands yet and I'm not even sure where the dang thing even is. Hopefully up front...

Thank you in advance for any advice.

I found a thread in the Trans-Sport section that answered my questions.
