Re: Mustang vs. Camaro
and as for nitrous my top 3 are NX, NOS, and Venom. but Venom is too expensive.

Nice set up you have there.
I run the Zex kit, very safe. I have an RPM window switch that activates it, and cuts it off. I also run a electronic shut off valve. just incase.

Re: Mustang vs. Camaro
Here is also a suggestion for you guys who are planning on running nitrous. I was very happy with the performance increase after I had my timing advanced, so I was reluctant to have to pull the timing out when I put the nitrous on. Basically i was giving up my n/a performance, which I use like 95% of the time, just so that I could run a performance booster I was going to use like 5% of the time.
You can buy an Accel 300+ ignition box. http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...35&prmenbr=361 Then get this digital controller unit, and it'll allow you to set up a timing pull for when the nitrous is in use. It has a signal wire that connects to the nitrous solenoid power circuit and then pulls timing whenever the nitrous is being sprayed... http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...29&prmenbr=361 Just a thought, so that you can keep the n/a performance and still use nitrous. BTW, if you are an MSD fan, I think they also make a digital box, called the MSD 6AL or something like that, which allows for a similar setup. Might be worth checkin in to... |

Well Im running msd 6AL now so I'll look into that. My current set up might allow me to do that but I'll have to contact msd to find out. Thanks Hot Red Z28

Re: Mustang vs. Camaro
If you already have an MSD, then you can get a retard module that plugs right into the MSD. You will then have full control of timing advance and retard through a control knob from inside the car.

Ok that sounds pretty good. But let me ask you this highflow the system I want is a zex system. Is it possible to set this system up so that the timming is pulled automatically at WOT before the nitrous gets injected?

The system should just run off the hot side of the selonoid, but like HiFlow said, you can run a window as well.
