Re: Subrau v.s Ford

most people havent and i said it was a V6 body not engine. and i live in jerzee and have only seen 1. its an ugly car but it has more potential as a straight up drag car than show car. only a few hundred were made.

Re: Subrau v.s Ford

nah i dont. but just imagine a 94-95 V6 auto w/ a 5.0 under the hood and dual exhaust. and uve probaly havent seen one cuz there are no badges that say GT-S on it. so look for a V6 body w/ small lil dual exhaust tips.

I've seen a Camaro with a similar kind of set up at the county fair in Pomona, CA. These cars are sold directly to law enforcement with roll cages and stripped interiors. After that, they're sold at police auctions where other cops get first dibbs on them. Eventually it is possible that they would make it to a private citizen.
A police issue Chevy Caprice can be acquired in the same way. Although it probably freaks chicks out if you have a prisoner cage in your back seat.

It was only made in 95, as an entry level option. Kinda like a base LX compared to a higher level GT in the fox body era. I still have not found any information about that whole state police thing either, so I can't comment on that.

If your friends owns this im sure he wouldn't mind if you took a picture of it. Then post it cause I've never heard of such thing, and I wanna see it before I believe it. It honestly sounds far fetched, but I don't live on the east coast, so I can't really say.

If you looking to see GTS badges on the side, then keep looking. There are no distinguishing badges between the GTS and GT models, just physical alterations. Here read this, it's a little blurry, but you should still be able to make it out.

Re: Re: Subrau v.s Ford

yes its true i am f23a4 friend i own an 95gts, i would take a picture of it but we just had a bad snow storn come through the jersey and i dont have a garage. anyway heres the scoop on it..the car is a stripped down Gt roll-up windows, cloth seats, no cd player no mach audio not power locks no rear spoiler 15inch rims no fog lights the car is a perfect drag car light as could be. it was made for law enforcment on the east coast. but a few 1000 went to dealerships ford estimates about 1500. its exactly like a 95 cobra R except it has a back seat. and a 5.0 not 5.8 of course

Thanks for the article, now I don't have to be skeptic lol. It surprising that its hardly been talked about ever (at least from what I read) for it being around for 7 years. I see a lot of Mustangs from where I live and I know a lot of Mustang fans, but I don't think that they even knew their was a gts. So does mustang does come with the 5.0?
