I think it looks cool, although the hood scoop doesn't quite fit it. How many horse power is 220 kW? I dont know the conversion multiplier offhand.
Really though, I don't think the new Mustangs body looks quite as good as the SN-95 body, it isn't bad, but the shape just doesn't sort out quite as well. I see how they are trying to get back to the edgy late sixties shape, but it just isn't there, especially the roofline. I like some of the conceptions I've seen of the next generation Mustang though. Of course, it's kind of hard to live up the the looks of the '69 Boss 429; now there was a car that demanded attention - and got it. Then of course, there is the almighty '64 Fairlane Not that the fact the I own and drive one effects me in any way on that... Will |

The '03 Mach 1 is powered by a '01 Cobra motor which has different cams which produce slightly lower horsepower numbers but much better low end torque figures (which is something 4.6 Mod Motors greatly lack)
It's got a live rear axle, as opposed to the IRS found in Cobras since '99. The live rear axle is much better suited for straight line acceleration. I read the stock numbers on this car were in the mid/low 13's with a high 12 on sticky tires. I agree tho, the hood scoop looks cool (retro) but doesnt quite fit in with the rest of the car.

I am forced to agree with old ford fan on this one. Although I myself prefer the 71 mustang boss 429. It is my dream car.
