you get a 85-93 5.0 and for less than $5k i'll have you in the 10s. Just a simple rebuild and a good jerk on the wiring harness will releive a big headache. However, you may have to spend a couple hundred on rewiring your gauges and such.

I'd get a 89-92 if you want all out speed. If you want some style, 94-95, though they don't come with forged pistons. That could be a problem if you decide to spray. If you wanna look good doing burnouts, get a 99+ SOHC GT, put a 100 shot, gears, slicks, and run 12s all day.
