How to remove the headlight bulb
I am trying to replace a burnt headlight on my 97 Accord...
I can't seem to get the bulb out of the headlight though. I have taken off the power lead... I try turning the bulb but it seems like it is locked in there. Is there something else that needs to be done before you can remove a headlight bulb (lowbeam)? Thanks! |

Re: How to remove the headlight bulb
You need to get the black plastic locking ring off. Sometimes it's hard to twist. You can tap it loose using a flat screw driver. Just be careful don't damage the ring.

Re: How to remove the headlight bulb
Got it with a little WD40.
Its a 97, and in the 4 years I have owned it, I never had to change a light... then I have to change a headlight, and 2 brakes all at once... all the bulbs were just a little stiff... The brake light in the rear window was a little tricky to get at - the access to the bulb is just a small hole in trunk area... I used a pair of pliers and a towel (to protect the plastic bulb socket...) Thanks for your reply! |
