The long tail is sooo sexy, the wait is painful. I haven't been this excited about a model since the new GTR and Porsche GT3 kits!!

Wow! I hope all the detail from the 3D model makes it into the final kit. Full engine, full suspension, full racing interior! That's going to be a fun car to detail. I have a weakness for LM GT's so I'm also really looking forward to this model.

Well, Fujimi just announced their longtail...they're doing 3 or 4 schemes. oct-nov release, so they're hoping to sell a few kits before Aoshima comes out with their version.

Re: Aoshima has a Supercar secret to share... its a M.....
Aoshima blog says that some of the injection parts have arrived. Apparently, this kit marks the turning point for
their future kit releases, and I hope they mean full detail, unlike the not-quite-fully-detailed Aventador and Murcielago kits. http://ameblo.jp/aoshima-kumablog/day-20131027.html Last edited by hirofkd; 10-27-2013 at 06:52 PM. |

exhausts, suspension, brakes, missing engine and gearbox, etc. I understand Aoshima kit will be more expensive, but you get what you pay for. If correct body shell is all you're after then Fujimi kit is fine. But to me it is not worth the money they ask. My only concern is that Aoshima still does not take pre-order for their kit and Fujimi has an advantage. I'm afraid that some people who cannot wait or are too mindful of price will settle for Fujimi's blob and Aoshima's sales will be hurt. |

Re: Aoshima has a Supercar secret to share... its a M.....
Hi all!
Aoshima has just published on facebook (https://www.facebook.com/Aoshima.Bunka.Kyozai.English) a set of photos showing the prototype pieces The kit looks nice, with every detail you can imagine. I have noticed that the kit includes different versions of some pieces (lights, for example) and maybe Aoshima is giving us the possibility of build different versions of the car, without buying three kits... I had pre-ordered the Fujimi kit, but after seeing these pics, I have cancelled it. I cannot wait for the F1, and the Aoshima's one looks great and detailed! *Sorry for my not-so-good english , hehe! |

Yes this one does look very nice. I will do the Fina and Gulf cars I saw in person down in Florida and California back in 1997. Those BMW V12's sounded British for some reason. Maybe it was the very loud Mclaren Exhaust...Wonderful howl!! They sounded alot better than the Mercedes V12 or V8 CLK's.

Re: Aoshima has a Supercar secret to share... its a M.....
Aoshima's Japanese blog hinted at the possibility of some kind of race version by commenting on the inclusion of two head light designs, but the writer didn't elaborate any further.
I ordered Fujimi's Fina kit so that I can use the decals with the upcoming Aoshima kit, and the left-over Fujimi parts will be build into a curbside long tail road version. With the standard PE and Cartograf decals, Fujimi's long tail kit is not a bad deal. It has less noticeable errors than the F1 road car, but you can still find the usual Fujimism, like the incorrect headlight covers, and rear view mirrors inside the cockpit. |
