Re: Vip's Celica All-Trac Project
September 15th 2007 - I finished up the last bit of rust on the underbody. The underbody rust removal is complete!!
I started putting the interior back in. I cleaned and scrubbed the carpet, then pressure washed it. Cleaned the rear seats and interior panels and installed.

Re: Vip's Celica All-Trac Project
September 16th 2007 - Installed the rest of the interior. I'm at a stand still right now. Can't really do anything else until I order the bushings for the suspension. I ordered about $100 worth of bolts from Toyota for all the underbody parts (front crossmembers, driveshaft, rear subframe, etc). I also bought a Whiteline rear sway bar. Just need to save up some cash for more parts so I can continue.

Re: Vip's Celica All-Trac Project
September 17th 2007 - Installed custom rear brake lines. My old brake lines were rusted completely through, and were falling apart. I bought two 25' rolls of 3/16" steel brake tubing, and picked up some brake line connectors from the junk yard. I pulled the original lines off the car and laid them out on the ground. Unrolled the new brake line and bent it according to the old lines. Test fit on the car, and made necessary adjustments. Cut off excess tubing and put the fittings on the ends and flared the ends of the tubing. Installed the brake lines onto the car and put the brake line covers on. It was a huge pain, but brakes are kind of important.

Re: Vip's Celica All-Trac Project
September 22nd 2007 - The axle seals in the rear differential were leaking, so I took the rear diff apart to inspect. The gears inside looked great, but the bearings not so great. Looks like it ran low on gear oil and the bearings got heated up pretty good. Need to order bearings and seals.

Re: Vip's Celica All-Trac Project
October 2nd 2007 - I've been cleaning and painting parts over the last week. Just about everything is ready to be put on the car. I'm waiting on my polyurethane bushings to arrive. The only parts left to be treated and painted are the front control arms and the driveshaft. I mounted the Supra TT fuel pump in the sending unit yesterday and finished getting the fuel tank ready.

Re: Vip's Celica All-Trac Project
October 16th 2007 - I'm waiting for a shaft to fix my shop press. I'm also waiting on my polyurethane suspension bushings to come. Waiting on my solid aluminum rear differential mount to come from Austria. When these parts come in, I'll be able to install the front suspension, rear suspension, rear subframe, driveshaft, fuel tank, fuel lines, etc. I'll be ready to install the engine then.
Here are some goodies that I received in the mail yesterday.
