rattling noise
I have a 2002 Prism that runs great. Occasionally when at a stop sign, there will be a rattling sound that comes from the front. This only happens when it is in gear. Any suggestions?

Mine too. It may be passengers side motor mount or heat shield rattling

I'd go with the motor mount. but wiggle things when it's parked. maybe ask a friend to listen for it and pinpoint it while outside the vehicle.

Re: rattling noise
Recently I had my catalyst converter heat shield pulled off, as the bolt holes rusted out (this was a source of rattling), 1999 Chevy Prizm.

Re: rattling noise
Do you have a belt, or a chain for the OHC?
If OHC is a chain, it could be just a a bad tensioner. |
