RB engine code questions

What does DETT/DE/DET mean on the engine code of the RB family. I do know that RB stands for Racing Bred and the numbers mean 2.5/2.6/and 3.0 liters.

And can you also tell me what SR means on the 200's SX family?

If I remember correctly...

D = Dual Overhead Cam
E = Electronic Fuel Injection
T = Number of Turbos (TT = Twin Turbo)

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong as it's been a while since I read about it.

As for the SR, don't know...

The "RB" doesn't necessarily mean "Race Bred." It is only the name of the engine family. It's the same with SR, VG, VQ, VK, CA, FJ, etc.

Re: Re: RB engine code questions

Yeah, and all engine codes mean something, wether it's significant or not
