keyless entry lights

I have the factory keyless entry in my 95 RM Wagon. When the doors are locked or unlocked are the lights suppose to blink? Mine does nothing, you have to listen for the clunk of the door locks to know it locked.

Re: keyless entry lights

My '95 sedan does the same thing. I don't recall seeing in other RMs in my area where the lights signal the use of the keyless remote. I have to listen for the "clunk" sound as well. In fact now that you mention it I believe this may be common in some other vehicles of that era, ( no lights).

Re: keyless entry lights

Have a look at your owner's manual. Many GM models allow you to option to program the blinking lights. I am not sure about the RM though, but possibly the option is simply switched off.

Re: keyless entry lights

Hi all,
I just wanted to tell You that from what I see in the Haynes Repair Manual, there is no connection between exterior lights and the keyless entry module so it can´t be programmed on the RM. My RM does indicate unlock by turning on interior light though, but that doesn´t help when locking, does it...
