I have a 98 Jetta and have had few problems with it. Today, I went to start my car and got nothing! My roommate came and looked at it and we heard that the fan was running. My car had been shut off for 5 hours or so. What is the problem????

Re: HELP! 98 Jetta-Fan keeps running after engine is off
A bad thermo sensor forgot to turn off the fan, or a bad relay got stuck.

How do I go about fixing it? Do you know how much it would cost to do it?

Re: HELP! 98 Jetta-Fan keeps running after engine is off
1) Need to find the fuse + relay location, it should be in the owners manual.
2) Pull the fuse, the fan isn't needed for the short, because it's winter. 3) Charge battey. 4) Always keep an eye on the temp guage. I'am not sure what it will cost, because some Auto service stations will turn a small problem into a big problem. www.autopartswarehouse.com might have your fan sensor/relay |
