Somehting wrong with outside temp sensor- new Odyssey 08

I just bought Odyssey 08 and have run it 300 miles so far. Everything's great except I think there is something wrong with the outside temperator sensor/ meter ( or this normal???)

When I start the engine, the temperator meter directsthe corect number right at the first time, sometime, it starts at the very high number such as 120 o F then countdown until it get the right number of temp, such as 50oF.

Thanks

If the engine compartment is hot or the van has been sitting in the hot sun, you will get wacky outside temp readings until you drive and provide the sensor with air flow. Apparently you bought a new 2008 EX or higher?? Take it back to the dealer if you are not satisfied. It's a brand-new, expensive van!
