heater blowing location problem
I have a 2000 century. I am having a problem with where the blower air goes. Its currently on the floor only. I would rather have it be on the windshield if its going to be stuck somewhere. Whats the though on whats causing this. Seems like the switch to me. It has always been slow when changing location. Once i flip the switch it may take 30 seconds to switch. Now it does not even do that.
Thanks! |

Re: heater blowing location problem
Mode door actuator problem- very common on GM W cars- remove electric actuator above gas pedal - (2 5.5 mm screws) then make sure mode door moves without actuator in place- most common failure is actuator has a cracked drive gear- and must be replaced- Autozone has them.
Confirm first- by removing actuator- it is tight but not too bad- remove hush panel first.
