Help with US terminology for door sill parts
Hi. I am look for the correct US terminology for cars, not pickups:
1. What is the general term for the part that runs below the doors between the wheel arches? Possibilities: door sill side sill rocker panel 2. What is the correct term for the part that covers (1) to protect it, running the entire length of the door sill and often made of plastic? 3. What is the correct term for the part attached to (2) that is used for decorative purposes, as can be seen here: https://qaastore.com/products/th5052..._medium=social 4. What is the correct term for the part attached to (2) that you step on that protects (2), as can be seen here: https://www.auto-freydank.de/shop/Ma...yABEgKfF_D_BwE Thanks. |

Re: Help with US terminology for door sill parts
I think the answer for #1 is rocker panel and for the second one is sill.
