And the next 1/24 car from Tamiya, #24344 is...

The new NSX. $53 USD retail and it's full detail. US distributors should have this very soon; review samples are in the magazine's hands.

No surprise here. I'm sure Tamiya will also use the wheels pictured, rather than the cool optional interwoven wheels. But, I'm sure Plamoz will do those. Let's hope Tamiya offers the choice of Honda or Acura versions. Again, not a huge deal if they don't as that's an easy aftermarket fix.

Like you said on Facebook, this car doesn't excite me like the original. To me, it looks like a japanese version of the Audi R8.

I'd be more interested if they did a Super GT version...

Agreed x 3!
The car already looks obsolete. That doesn't stop me from buying a kit or two, but still...
The visible part of the engine should be included, like Fujimi's Gallardo kit and such,
but the new NSX kit will probably not like the detailed 918 Spyder or i8 kits from Revell Germany. Oh well...

I think that Tamiya have just lost it as regards rally and race cars. They haven't done a rally kit since the Peugeot 307 wrc if my memory serves me correctly? Very poor for a company that was once turning out two or three rally or race cars every year. Why can't they do for example a Lancia Delta S4? I'm sure that would be as good as, if not a better seller than this Honda NSX..

I'm with you about a Delta S4. Moreover, Lancia is the most adored rally manufacturer in Japan !

I just guess they don't wanna deal with the licensing issues with Lancia, Martini and so on...

From the literature I've seen, this should have an engine, LHD/RHD options, and Honda or Acura liveries.

Sorry, can't. This came from a Tamiya press release that my local hobby shop received so I don't have direct access to the information.
