2004 Grand Am. No antilocks, and no indicator lights.

A few times I have slid around on the pavement within the last year, no wrecks thankfully, but this last time was way too close.
I can be going anywhere from twenty to fifty miles per hour on a damp road, hit the brakes to simulate an emergency stop, and the wheels lock......spooky. I know they are locked because the steering wheel has no response under these conditions. The ABS light isn't on, and isn't burnt out because it illuminates at idiot light check. I don't notice a pulsing of the pedal either that is normal when anti locks are functioning.
I would really like to solve this problem soon as it is a very dangerous one.

Re: 2004 Grand Am. No antilocks, and no lights.

Under 30mph your antilock brakes dont work anyway.

Even though the lights not on , it doesnt mean their's not something wrong. Probley need to get it scanned with an ABS capable scan tool.

Though I think all the Grand Ams Ive had are about the same on wet pavement. I'll have to try and see for myself....
