if anyone wants reference pics on these ferraris, i might be able to help
i'm not promising anything, but there's a ferrari/maserati dealership in my neighborhood, and since i'm making a modena, i was thinking about going down there and asking if i could take some pics.
you can make some requests of what you want, but i honestly don't know how much they're willing to do for someone that isn't buying a car, and if they'll even let me take pics at all. i'm thinking they will though. here's what i saw today: 360 modena 360 spider 360 challenge modena. the one with the green and red stripes within a fat white stripe goign down the middle. 550 (maybe 575) maranello. it was closed so i couldn't go in to take a look. 355 spider and some maseratis. anyway...heh. just trying to be helpful. |

No worries! My experience with Ferrari dealerships is that they have been the friendliest, most accomidating car dealerships I've ever encountered. They know that probably less than 1% of people coming through the door are serious about buying a Ferrari- everyone else is coming in just to visit the local Ferrari museum. The employees love Ferraris as much (maybe more) than you do, and they love to show them off. Whenever I've gone with a camera, I've been escorted through the maintanence bays to photograph anything I want- and then taken back to the race team bay, to see/photo the 360 challenges/Grand Am cars in preparation for races. The last time I did this, it was the owner of the dealership who took time out of his day to show me around. The service staff is well equipped to clean up puddles of drool regularly left by visitors. You don't even have to fein interest/ability in buying a car- but the dealers know that when you hit it big in 10 or 15 years, and can actually afford a super car, it's the guy who used to come in with a camera who's really going to buy a Ferrari, and you're more likely to come back if they've encouraged your enthusiasm. So, go and enjoy! I'm sure many of us would like to see some detail shots (is it OT to post them here?).
