Ducati 1199 Panigale
Yet another Panigale on the forum. Seems to be a lovely kit so I wanted to build it immidiatelly.
It's going to be red, but don't know which red. I'm thinking of Rosso Red from Ferrari but maybe I go for Rosso Red from Ducati. Don't know if theres a real difference between them.... And a few reference pictures. Maybe somebody has more detailed pics? Kris.

Re: Ducati 1199 Panigale
Wow it's a year ago since....
But I'm back and can't wait to start this project (again....) I bought the front fork set by Tamiya to make it a bit more realistic. Kris.

Re: Ducati 1199 Panigale
I started on the engine. I used Alclad Matt Aluminium for the engine and Ducati Frame Bronze for the bronze parts.
Then I started on the exhaust. I painted it gloss black as base for Alclad Chrome. After the chrome I masked of the weldingseams. Now I painted the exhaust Alclad Polished Steel and Gun Metal on the weld areas. I also made hinges for the Top Studio mufflersprings. I love the result! I also painted the mufflers. I used Aclad Polished Steel and Polished Aluminium. I also added a Termigoni decal. Every parts is already painted. So basicly it's now like Lego and put this Ducati together Kris.

Re: Ducati 1199 Panigale
I made the rearswingarm and mounted it on the engine together with the monocoque frame part.
I drilled out the discs and put the Detail Up frontfork together. The wheels are also installed and added to the frame.

Re: Ducati 1199 Panigale
And another update. Every part already painted so it was easy to put it together.
Meanwhile it's completed, so next time I'll show the final pics! Kris.

Re: Ducati 1199 Panigale
Great pics! Overall really nice built, engine details would be more accenturated with a very light wash but that seems like nit picking....
