Ahh I have missed the conversation. I always wear a seatbelt after what happened to my brother in a Ferarri.

The 928 isn't a real sports car, it's a GT... Big, heavy, luxurious... still goes like hell and handles pretty well though.
So what happened to your brother? I hope he got out okay

True, it's a GT, but let me assure you it handles extremely well and makes all the right sounds!

No actually I am going to leave you on a cliff hanger....
Would i ever leave you guys wondering? I was on leave from the Army, and I came home to have lunch with my parents. My brother had just recieved a bonus and bought a Ferrari. He was driving with me in a 50's Ferrari, with the glass lights, not the flip-ups, and we were going through all the country lanes. I was wearing a seatbelt, but he was not. He slowed down to about 30MPH, to go round a corner, and we semi-drifted round. But on the other side was an old woman, who had recently had a stroke who thought she could still drive. She was going on the wrong side of the road, swerving around as if she did not have a clue. We went round the corner and came head on. she was driving a small car, and was killed instantly. My brother went straight through the windscreen, but his injuries were very slight (he is a big bloke). I almost hit my head on the dash but I was just ok, although ac small piece of metal (I do not know were from) hit me straight on top of the collar bone. He has never had a Ferrari since. |

yes... going through the windscreen... im guessing the glass would have been thinner and more brittle back then, and thats what saved him?

Good to hear he got out okay, I was expecting to hear some grisly story!
It's a shame about the Ferrari...
