I believe it's 8th or 10th scale and that it was built by McLaren themselves. They would routinely finish these scale cars in the paint color a buyer requested so that they could ensure that was indeed the color they wanted prior to painting the real thing. I assume they probably did the same thing with the liveries prior to placing them on a GTR. It could also be something that GTC Motorsports comissioned themselves.

You can see one of the Ueno Clinic #59 LeMans winner in the background of this photo:

...and again in this shot:

well , i actually think it's even bigger than 1:8 , because i own a 1:8 nitro touring car and it seems to be much smaller.

i speculate on a 1:6 even 1:5.

big mclaren

WOWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!
never seen that before........................:-)
i believe must be much bigger than 1/10th scale according to pictures.
By any chance if there is one for sale....guess it wont be cheaper than $5000 atleast.
anyway guess i will stick to 1/18 and 1/12th scale for now and am yet to explore 1/43th world of macsssss
also am workin on customising a 1/12th roadcar into a orange LM and that would definetly be one of its kind......:-)

hey mini mac magic!!!
thnx for the thumbs up...:-)
actually so far i sold 44 1/18th mclaren f1 roadcars (out of which only 19 on ebay) and 29 1/12th mclaren f1 roadcars (out of which only 5 on ebay)in the past one year.i prefer sellin my stuff off ebay coz i hate to pay all those hefty ebay n paypal fees.recently i spoke with my distributers in europe n the latest news is that these mini macs are hard to find now(To be specific the 1/12ths)
Now that Euro and GBP gettin stronger against USD.....its tough to acquire these beauties at reasonable prices..:-(
am lookin for 1/12th scale silver, yellow and green mclaren f1s NEW in NEW boxes
have dark silvers and dark blues for sale or trade!!!

thnx

You guys are right - the scale is probably much closer to 1/5th or 1/6th. I too would love to have one, since I can't afford a 1/1 scale version.

Thankfully, my better judgement tells me to buy a real car (something fun to drive on the weekends or take to the track) for the price that thing would sell for.
