Unhappy ALMOST FATAL accident: Saab 9-7x Electrical Breakdown @ 60MPH

Wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I bought a 2006 from a Dealership less than 2 months ago. It has completely stopped twice before but when I was going fairly slow (turning), I restarted it...and it worked fine. This past weekend we were driving on the Bay Bridge at 58MPH, middle lane, suddenly the entire car (electricals) shut down. No brake (other than hand brake, no power steering...nothing). I had my 10 week old son in the back and as you can imagine it was VERY SCARY.

Anyone else had this problem? Any recommendations? (The CHP came and helped me off the bridge). It felt like this was an ALMOST FATAL accident.
