Aoshima's new S-parts wheels question:

I'm planning to use some wheels from Aoshima's recent release of 19" S-parts wheels, but I don't have them yet. Can someone measure the outside diameter of the wheels and tires for me? I'd like to be able to mock up the wheels in cardstock so I can go ahead and do body work around them, and I can finish the body and get it prepped for paint before too long. Thanks for the help, ya'll.

Not scaled them out yet but they seen bigger than their previous 19's. I have some Hoppin Hydros 20's and they are bigger than them so someone's ruler must be wrong at Aoshima.

No. They are the same size wheels as their VIP 19's. The difference is their tires. The new tires are slightly taller profile. Plus the new S parts 19's are made in china, not japan like the VIP's.

Re: Aoshima's new S-parts wheels question:

Yeah, I got a set of bersaglio spoke II VIP's and a set of Racing Hart CR s-parts 19" rims at the same time - the CR's are about the same rim diameter, but the tyres.. must be about 1.5 times the sidewall height at least, not to mention wider with deeeeep tread in comparison - I think they are almost overscale in comparison. I should have tried the VIP tyres on the racing hart's before I fitted the RH's to the R31 and Bersaglios to the 300CE benz I guess...
