89' 325ix with auto tranny
I found an 89' 325ix but with an auto tranny. It has 158,000 kms or about 100,000. Just wondering if this tranny is any good, is it reliable, or should I try holding out for one with a stick? Is there much of a difference in fuel consumption between the two?
THanks:smoker2: |

This transmission was one of the first to feature hydraulics within the gearbox itself. This meant that they were very hard to misuse. There was no kickdown, as it were with auto-boxes before, but a controlled shift of gearing according torque, gear selected and the speed. The boxes are pretty strong, my 3.25 still has her original auto box at 126,000
