Re: Someone Please Explain stuff to me
well first off what model of eclipse do you have???? if its an rs or gs, yea it isnt that fast not that the gt is very fast but, you should start off with the basic mods. intake , exhaust, headers, weight loss and many more before you turbo the car.

Re: Someone Please Explain stuff to me
i wouldnt go after the weight loss. it doesnt help that much. you would have to drop about 100lbs just to be .1 seconds faster.
you should check out www.eclipseforums.org and www.club3g.com both are great places to start. they have tons of information about turbos, superchargers, exhausts, intakes, headers. |

Re: Someone Please Explain stuff to me
if she wants to turbo, headers are a waste of money. Exhaust, yes, intake, yes.
Saving up for a turbo is great. But really, making your car handle will make it feel faster too. If i were you, I would concentrate on making the car flat thru cornering (with KYB AGX/Eibach Prokit, and D3 suspension kit). this will allow you to use more throttle, which will make you faster everywhere except the straitaways. |

Re: Someone Please Explain stuff to me
she's got a GT iono if its a stick or sporty though,'
turbo or supercharge will run you close to 4k dolla and somewhere b/t 600 and 1300$ for the install w/o basic FI you could do the intake, (aem or injen) exhaust (magna, greddy, custom), headers, Apex'i AVC II tuned, weight loss (backseat, spare, jack, is roughly 60-80lbs, carbon fiber hood/ parts) and if you feel the need....nitrous, but nitrous shouldn't be used lightly and it should be used conservatively besides that practice shifting/ get a short throw and new clutch and ur good my best .02 ^^ and suspension dont' forget what johnny says in suspension
