The tail lights took over 38 hours...

because we had to cut the trunk evenly, make a housing out of pure metal to hold the tail lights into place, wax, weld, mold, and all that good stuff, make a drainage device to keep water out, and a few other problems we ran into along the way. In the end, it was WELL WORTH IT!

hey man, you should look around on the org a lil or around where u live and see if u can find a wrecked max that has a low mileage engine in it and swap them out. you will prob be easier to find a buyer. that or tear it down and do a rebuild. same for the tranny

Everything has been replaced already...

I had 2 of my local Nissan dealerships in NJ take a look at my car, and as of right now there is NOTHING wrong at all with anything mechanical. So that simply wouldn't make sense to do right now.

even if in good mechanical condition, not many ppl will dish out 12g for a car with that high of mileage. u cant even get a loan from a bank for a car with that high of miles on it

yeah, he does have a point, that's pretty high mileage for selling a car for 12k, most will turn away just cause of the miles. i certainly would. but if you an get it, more power to you.

not to be a dick about it, but either u have to drop the price a few grand, or spend the few grand on an engine or rebuild. but then ya prob jus be better off keepin it for urself!

If you saw the car up close and personal you would understand

I am already taking a $10,000 hit if I sold the car for $12,500. Someone could buy this car and spend $1500 on a newer engine with install, and then never have to worry. But the way I see it is that they don't have to worry about anything right now. Maybe in another 50,000 they will run into problems, but I am confident that everything will be fine. I would even offer the buyer with a personal warrenty that I would make up where if the engine went in the first 15,000 miles I would supply an engine for free. That must make me serious about selling it. I am just trying to get out of the import tuner scene since I am getting older. If worse comes to worse, I will turbo it with NOS, do an R-33 headlight conversion and win some shows later this year. It's all good to me!!!

yeah dude, that warranty thing is a good idea, definitely make people more willing to buy, for sure...as far as the 10 grand hit, like other people have mentioned before, you usually don't charge extra for aftermarket mods, or nowhere near what their value is anyways

if you were willing to put a warranty like that in writing i bet you'd have a much easier time selling the car

Here's another thing.

High miles don't apply to just the engine. They apply to all parts of the car. If you have a car that has 300k miles on it even with a new engine, its not going to matter because other parts like brake components, wheel bearing surfaces, driveshafts, transmission, power steering, power steering pump, blah blah blah. The list goes on. With miles, you have to consider chassis wear.

It wouldn't be worth it to him to put a new engine in the car. Like I said, if he can get $12,500, that's awesome.

VERY GOOD POINT MAX PAYNE

But I am hoping that the person who is buying my car will finish what I have started with the show car style and maybe enter it in some shows. So hopefully that will give me a slight advantage over someone who is selling there car stock even though it's much cheaper. I mean all of my stuff is fresh and it took 3 months to complete all of that. SO maybe the person buying my car will realize that if they buy a stock max that they will have to wait mad long to have all the stuff done that I already have.
