You really going to put 18s or 19s on it??? I would have thought the ride was already bumpy enough on the standard 16s so to jump to 18s (and the cost of tyres!!)
I would have gone for 17s myself, but if you are dead set on going for one of those then definitely go for the 18s.

19" Wheels WILL go - but with mods.
If you go to my website and follow the links for the MMM5 pictures, there is a silver GPX there with 19" Wheelmania Jade Alloys on.
I'm under the impression that the front wheel arch linings were removed and some of the body work "massaged back a little", mainly due to the width. Have a look here.....www.ftology.co.uk |

Re: 18 or 19 inch wheels???
People, i've got '95 FTO GPX and it's 250HP, but i never allowed myself to fit 19'' wheels becase they make a car slower and you are gonna need more money for the fuel case with 10'' wheels your car is gonna become very thirsty

Hey mate, ive just fitted 18" wheels to my 94 gpx, and they fit fine. No rubbing at all. It will desperately need to be lowered tho, looks like a tractor at the mo!

I've got 19 in fitted to mine. There is no problem what so ever. The car looks hot as hell with em on. It doesn't scrape, and gives it that unique look!

Re: 18 or 19 inch wheels???
I have put 18"'s on my mivec gpx and sooooo wish i'd gone bigger! I have lowered it and the wheels still look lost in the arches! 19s and 20s will fit on with no problem! those extra pennies will be worth it!!!
