Well the problem with the WRX is that it pulls hard until about 80MPH and then it just looses its bite, trust me I know.

yeah, when i raced a wrx from 70mph (this was before the supercharger), we were dead even and towards the end at about 115, i was even in front a little bit. the second time i got to race a wrx at highway speeds (with the supercharger), it was a different story. :sun:

you gotta remember that wrx's are based on rally cars whereas the rsx and gts have more in common with an oval track or road course race car, given the high-revving engines. i don't even think the wrx is even in the same category as the other two. awd, turbo, plus 4 doors versus n/a, fwd two door coupes. i'd cut it down to between the wrx and acura. but in a performance-minded perspective, get the wrx. i dont' think either are very attractive, the acura may be more luxurious, but save luxury for when you're in your 40's. you're young ( i think), have fun, get the wrx.

and Tat, the next time you mention nissan in a thread, ever, consider yourself banned. lol. jus playin. :smoker2:

Well I would have to say the WRX is better than the other two (With an exhaust upgrade like Moppie said) preferably from Remus.

Plus you have the Turbo

never mention nissans? AAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! too bad all the USDM cars equipped with the new VQ arwe SOO expensive! i would kill for a maxima, but hell i LOVE WRX's too, down in florida when it's nice and hot and the roads are STICKY ICKY!, it has to be fun to squeeze into those turns and feel the AWD gripping the road like a suction cup! nice....

Well, at speeds of 80mph, you are looking at dying in an accident. Having 10 times the fun going through a wet corner sideways at 30mph would (at worst), leave you injured, with a full recovery on the way.

The WRX would also benefit from some much stickier tires for the pavement. The stock ones are cookie cutters, really.

celica GT-S: depending on which year. but the 02 are the slowest. they have the lowest rev limit. instead of near 8000 redline. it cuts off fuel at the middle of 7000. sooo that would cost fractions of seconds.

GT-S: 0-60 7 seconds. 1/4 mile in 15.3 seconds.

as you can see. even a 02 nissan maxima can beat these cars on the straight. along with the 02 nissan altima 3.5 SE. most of these front wheel drives can't even hit a 15 flat on the quarter. the nissans can hit 14's. and their family cars. hmmmmmmmmmmm
WRX= 0-60 in 5.9 Sec 1/4= 14.6-14.7
RSX-S/GTS= 0-60 in 6.6 sec 1/4=14.9-15.0 (Driver race)

However, the RSX/GTS will kill a WRX on during the top end and from a downshift. Can't really say anything about the RSX-S and GTS because both are equal. The RSX-S has more HP/TQ by a bit, but is also heavier than a the GTS by about 200-250 lbs. Makes it a driver race.

Umm, you know a WRX is an imprezza right? Thats why it's called the subaru imprezza WRX.
But yes I would go STI if you can afford it. Still, I heard you can get 275 horses out of the old WRX for under 1000 $.

uh, yeah i definitely know that considering there's an '02 imprezza in my driveway. i was saying get the sti as opposed to the wrx. ya know? 300 hp instead of 227.

and under the same logic you could get 350+ hp out of the sti for the same money.

OK but you kinda worded that funny, made it sound like an WRX isn't an impreza.
Actually, I think the STI has made some of the improvements already that you would make to the WRX to get that power. I don't believe it follows the same logic, it's more tuned from the factory.
