Acu-stion NSX wing

If you were thinking of getting Acu-stion's resin wing for the new Tamiya NSX, just a word of warning - its pretty crude and inaccurate, and I don't think worth the $15.

It is too thick, doesn't have the right profile shape, the edges are too round, and its missing some elements. See attached photos. Also, Acu-stion showed what appeared to be a CAD image of them designing it, but I think it looks more handmade, as most of the lines are uneven.

Here is Acu-stion's response to my concerns: "It has understood. You must correct it. Please make it by yourself. After all, the enjoyment increases because it is a model."

While I don't mind doing some scratch building, when I pay $15 for a small part, nearly half the price of the kit, I don't expect to have to correct the part.

Re: Acu-stion NSX wing

I have one as well, and I agree with you. It needs tweaking, especially the the front edge needs thinning, which is all I'm going to do to it besides painting. Unless you're looking at a pic of the real one right beside it, it isn't going to be glaringly wrong looking.

Re: Acu-stion NSX wing

Too bad. Accu-Stion's PE and turned metal parts have been pretty nice. Weird that they would drop the ball on this.

Re: Acu-stion NSX wing

Update: Plamoz will probably release a wing in Q3/Q4.
