2004 Ford Excursion - Cranks won't Turnover
My 2004 Excursion cranks but wont turnover. Had it towed to dealer and it started up when he went to bring into shop. Said it was a stuck fuel valve and I needed to rock the car to release it if it happened again. Well it happened again and no amount of rocking makes it turn over.

Re: 2004 Ford Excursion - Cranks won't Turnover
Mechanic came out today and determined I have no fuel pressure and diagnosed the issue as a bad fuel pump. Does anyone know what it costs to replace the fuel pump? Is this common for a 4 year old vehicle?

Check on ebay for fuel pump prices. If you do it your self under $100.00 a dealer around $1200.00. A local shop should R&R your pump for around 2hrs shop time. Around $85.00 an hour. Call the dealer as they will want to put an origional equipment pump in it causes them less problems. Call Napa and get a pump price I assume they would install one of these for you.
Get a few estimates. |
